Our Aim
York House Childcare's staff are outstanding child carers and work hard to involve parents/carers in their child’s learning and development. Liaising with parents/carers is crucial and you will be treated as part of the team!
Staff are not complacent and regularly review what we do and how this helps children. We recognize that children learn best when they are having fun, interested in what they are doing and building on what they know. Therefore, we will work with you to make sure we are clear on their starting point and develop a play plan that will help your child learn and develop.
All staff members are DBS checked, hold a valid paediatric first aid certificate and have complete a safeguarding course.
Training will be available to ensure all staff are kept up to date with all new legislation.
Melanie - Owner
In September 2015, I opened a childminding service (6 months – 5 years). I work with another childminder. Together we offer a holistic child centered service.
Prior to this I worked as a Project Manager responsible for delivering business and technical projects from project initiation through to post implementation reviews.
Qualifications

- BSc (Hons) Computing & Information Systems.

Sarah - Lead Practitioner
Sarah has worked in childcare for many years and during this time has had many roles – see below.
- Creche Assistant
- Room Leader - large nursery chain.
- Nursery Manager– large nursery chain.
- Private Nanny
She is a efficient, highly adaptable, pro-active practitioner.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Nursery Nursing
- Childminder course
In her spare time Sarah loves spending time with her family, pyrography, reading, cooking and gardening.
